Cara brings to the stage more than 30 years in the entertainment business. Versatility has been the key to her success. With a background in Musical Theatre, Cara has performed in the Canadian major musicals, The Phantom of the Opera (Princess/Christine) and the original Canadian cast of Les Miserables, playing both Cosette and Eponine at different times.(Cosette/Eponine). She also played Ariel, The Little Mermaid, in London, England.
Cara’s career in musicals, live stage shows and film have taken her to several countries, including the United States, Germany, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus, England, Japan and all across Canada. Her one woman show was showcased on two major cruise lines.
Cara had the privilege of performing for the late Princess Diana of Wales, twice, in two different countries. She has acted in over a dozen films and in two Canadian television shows. Now married with two children, Cara now performs a one woman show all over Canada.
Cara has had extensive training in voice through the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and many other private instructors from many of the productions she has been in, including Phantom’s Jeffrey Huard and Broadway Musical Director Bob Billig. Cara enjoys teaching, one on one, the skills she has acquired in vocal performance and auditioning. She has also been working with various age groups for over 10 years as a gymnastics and National Baton Twirling Coach. Cara will strive to bring out the best in each student through teaching skills in voice technique, confidence building, body language and a lot of positive reinforcement!! She looks forward to sharing her expertise and passion for singing with the wonderful Marquee students.
Cara is now offering classes right at Marquee on Mondays from 4-9pm.
