Let's have some fun!
Marquee will be offering a new and exciting Improv class geared towards mature students age 12 and over and adults. It will focus on skills that you can use in your daily life!
What is Improv? It's a form of theatre that is made up on the spot, no scripts no rehearsal!
What can Improv possibly do for me? Improv builds many skills that are directly transferable into your every day life.
- Improv will teach you how to work positively, confidently and effectively in a group environment.
- Improv teaches you to be an active listener.
- Improv helps you build connection.
- Improv teaches you to let go of fears and inhibitions.
- Improv helps you think quickly and effectively on your feet.

Classes held on Thursdays Oct. 15 - Dec. 3, 2015, from 7:30 - 9:30 pm
Max 15 people $200/8 - 2 hour classes (LIMITED SPACE)
Our Improv coach, Steve Bruines has been studying and performing Improv in Toronto for over 13 years. For the past 4 years he has been studying with premiere Improv and acting coach Kate Ashby. He is also currently studying with multitalented actor/comedian Ken Hall. Most recently Steve performed with improvisers from across the globe in National Theatre of The World’s “Impulse Festival” at Soul Pepper Theatre. He also performs regularly with his current Improv troupe “Seinfeld?!?” at The Social Capital Theatre in Toronto. Outside of Improv Steve has performed in many Theatre productions most recently playing the role of “Pinocchio” in Marquee Theatrical Productions staging of “Shrek The Musical”.
Steve has been involved in theatre all his life. It is truly his passion. He's looking forward to bringing this dynamic class to Marquee and sharing his passion with you!
