We have developed a high intensity Boxing Fitness program that is designed to develop fundamentals of boxing in combination with intense cardio vascular, strength, stamina and endurance exercises used in the boxing world. You will learn the essential skills used by boxers such as stance, footwork, punching and defensive techniques while pushing yourself to new limits you may have never found any other way. A great way to strengthen your mind and body in a safe non contact (on people anyway) environment.
Boxing as a sport requires a high level of athletic prowess: strength, speed, agility, hand-eye coordination, endurance, nerve, and power, just to name several required attributes. Boxing as a fitness activity enables the average person to hone those same athletic skills, all without having to take a punch.
If you’re hoping to get in great shape and improve your health, you just might want to sign up for this class. Here are a number of other reasons why:

Building on the success of our last session, we’re continuing our Boxing Technique segment for all those interested in more technical training. This intermediate instruction continues work on basic techniques and more advanced ones. This class will introduce the skills necessary for advanced technique and competition, however, the class is also suited for those that want to learn good boxing technique purely for pleasure and do not want much or any contact. This portion will run immediately before the Boxing Fitness portion each day.
Our next session will be an 9 week program on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7:30pm each week, beginning July 4, 2017. Each day will be divided as follows:
7:30pm to 8:30pm - Boxing Technique
8:30pm to 9:30pm - Boxing Fitness
The best part is that the classes will be held right at Marquee! For this session we are also offering a “drop in rate” for those people who can’t commit to the full 9 week schedule. The DROP IN RATES are: $30 per class for Boxing Fitness OR Boxing Technique The cost for the entire 9 week session (18 classes!) is only $375for the Boxing Fitness portion and $225 for the Boxing Technique portion - a special price we are offering to you as current and past Marquee members. Due to the nature of the training, we do have a minimum number of 8 participants required for the classes to run.
As an added bonus we will provide you with a free set of hand wraps which you will use in the class and are yours to keep afterwards!
