Please prepare the following: Acting Your monologue can be dramatic or comic and should show off the actor's personality. Something long enough so we can get a sense of your ability. Between one and two minutes would be sufficient.
Music You may use a backing track (with no vocals on it) or bring sheet music in the correct key for our accompanist. A belty rock/pop song, appropriate to the actor's range. There is very little head voice going on in this score. Find below a few possible songs to auditioners. People auditioning are absolutely NOT required to sing any of the provided songs. They are provided simply as an aid, a courtesy, or a guideline to help those that need some direction, or who don't know enough rock songs to know how to choose. Also, for those who have a million songs to choose from, it will give you an indication of the type of music we'd like to hear, which will guide you in picking your own song. For Children: Same info for you. A pop song of your choice that shows your belt. We may cut you off if the songs is repetitive or long - simply due to time. You are also to perform a monologue like everyone else. You will also have a group dance audition - nothing to prepare. our choreographer will show you the routine. Dance

If you are cast: Membership Fee and Volunteer Hour Requirement Marquee Theatrical Productions has an initial annual membership fee** of $25/person. There is an additional $10 production fee for each production you are in. Total Membership fee is $35 DUE ONLY IF YOU ARE CAST IN THE SHOW. Everyone cast in our productions is required to pay this fee. **The membership fee offsets costume cleaning, provides professional Directors, music Directors, Choreographers and costume builders for each show. You are not required to sell a certain number of tickets or to supply your own costumes other than shoes and personal undergarments, shoes or potential items you would already have in your closet at home.
An agreement on your part is also expectedAn agreement on your part is also expected to present a post-dated cheque for $135.00, dated for opening night. You can get your full cheque back by volunteering 15 hours to Marquee. (painting set, office duties, computer work etc. there are many opportunities). For each hour you complete, Marquee will credit $9 to you to a maximum of the $135 furnished. If you complete all 15 hours, you will get your non-cashed cheque back. If you do not complete your hours then we consider the balance of $9 per unperformed hour to be a donation to Marquee and we will issue you a charitable donation tax receipt for this amount.
